Upon registering for Brain Bee, Secondary 4 students, Sophie I. and Anya F. were given a neuroscience textbook to study on their own. The students then competed in a competition consisting of multiple choice and short answer questions. Sixty-five contestants from twelve school participated, including 3 Cegeps.
