Its mission is to provide a structured milieu in which students are committed to academic achievement, bilingualism, computer literacy, an appreciation of the arts, an understanding of social issues and a sense of community responsibilities.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Extra-curricular activities are an integral part of Royal West Academy’s program. Students are required to participate in 3 out of 4 different types of activities (cultural, sport, community service and environmental). Activities may transpire before school, at lunchtime, or after school.

After having caught wind of the considerable growth that East Hill had made in year one of its ‘three-year STEAM revamp’ initiative, other schools within our network had indicated an interest in also joining the movement. Owing to this interest, late last year, administration at both Pierre Elliot Trudeau and Honoré Mercier approached their respective staff and governing boards, seeking, and eventually procuring, approval in becoming the second and third schools to undergo the same initiative.
