Message from our Administration
Royal West Academy is a community school with a limited enrollment. Every student at Royal West Academy has an opportunity to grow and find success in a variety of academic and extracurricular areas. Our school is a dynamic community, committed to fostering an environment that is both positive and structured, where students are encouraged to be their best selves—academically, socially, and personally.
We are incredibly proud of our dedicated and passionate staff, who are deeply invested in the success of every student. At RWA we celebrate the uniqueness of every individual, embracing diversity and championing social justice to ensure that all students feel valued, respected, and empowered.
At RWA, we understand that success is not just about high academic achievement, but about developing well-rounded individuals who contribute to their community. Our enriched curriculum includes an accelerated math program with Calculus at the secondary 5 level, a comprehensive French immersion program, providing a français langue d’enseignement course across all grade levels, and we place a strong emphasis on educational technology to equip students with the skills they need for the future.
Our locally created MindPOP program introduces students to Mindfulness to improve students’ ability to focus, remain calm, and manage stress. It emphasizes the importance of being present in the moment with kindness, curiosity, and inclusion. The RWA MindPOP program teaches students how to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize their academic work and their activities.
We believe in the importance of extracurricular activities in shaping the whole student. From sports and culture to environmental initiatives and community service, our students can engage in a wide range of activities that foster leadership, teamwork, and personal growth. Our school also offers opportunities to travel and explore new cultures, enriching our students’ global perspective.
Our music, theatre, and visual arts programs provide outlets for creative expression, while our strong emphasis on community involvement helps to build a sense of belonging and responsibility. Parents are an integral part of our school community, and we value their active involvement in their children’s education.
At Royal West Academy, we aim to provide a place where students not only excel academically but also develop the social and emotional skills to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Sincerely,
