Secondaires 1 et 2 :<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Dans leur classe de base, les \u00e9l\u00e8ves de l'ARW \u00e9tudient la g\u00e9ographie en secondaire 1 et l'histoire en secondaire 2. Ils ont l'occasion unique de suivre ces cours avec leur enseignant d'anglais et de techniques d'\u00e9tude. Dans le cas de l'immersion fran\u00e7aise, les \u00e9l\u00e8ves suivent les cours de g\u00e9ographie et d'histoire avec leur enseignant de fran\u00e7ais.<\/p>\n

Le cours de g\u00e9ographie est con\u00e7u pour aider les \u00e9l\u00e8ves \u00e0 comprendre l'organisation des territoires, \u00e0 interpr\u00e9ter les enjeux territoriaux et \u00e0 construire une conscience de la citoyennet\u00e9 mondiale. Les th\u00e8mes abord\u00e9s sont l'\u00e9nergie, le tourisme, l'exploitation des for\u00eats, les environnements \u00e0 risque, etc.<\/p>\n

Le cours d'histoire est con\u00e7u pour aider les \u00e9l\u00e8ves \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper leur compr\u00e9hension du pr\u00e9sent tout en examinant le pass\u00e9. Le programme les pr\u00e9pare \u00e0 participer en tant que citoyens inform\u00e9s \u00e0 une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 mondiale et pluraliste. Les \u00e9l\u00e8ves ont la possibilit\u00e9 d'\u00e9tudier les civilisations anciennes jusqu'\u00e0 la r\u00e9volution industrielle.<\/p>\n

Secondaire 3 et 4 :<\/strong><\/h3>\n

L'histoire du Qu\u00e9bec et du Canada est un cours suivi par tous les \u00e9l\u00e8ves de 3e et 4e secondaire. Le cours est offert en fran\u00e7ais et en anglais selon le programme de votre enfant. Il est enseign\u00e9 de fa\u00e7on chronologique sur une p\u00e9riode de deux ans. La 3e secondaire est ax\u00e9e sur l'\u00e9tude de p\u00e9riodes et de ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes allant des origines de l'histoire du Qu\u00e9bec et du Canada jusqu'\u00e0 1840. La 4e secondaire couvre la p\u00e9riode de 1840 \u00e0 nos jours. Ce cours est sanctionn\u00e9 par l'\u00e9preuve unique du MEQ \u00e0 laquelle tous les \u00e9l\u00e8ves doivent se soumettre pour obtenir leur dipl\u00f4me d'\u00e9tudes secondaires.<\/p>\n

Sec. 5 Monde contemporain :<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Ce cours est suivi par tous les \u00e9l\u00e8ves de 5e secondaire et est jumel\u00e9 \u00e0 leur cours d'\u00e9ducation financi\u00e8re. Le cours est offert en anglais et en fran\u00e7ais selon le programme de votre enfant. Le cours se concentre sur les questions mondiales contemporaines et l'histoire du 20e si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n

Les th\u00e8mes abord\u00e9s sont la population, la richesse, les tensions et les conflits.<\/p>\n

Sec. 5 \u00c9ducation financi\u00e8re<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n

Ce cours est suivi par tous les \u00e9l\u00e8ves de 5e secondaire et est jumel\u00e9 \u00e0 leur cours sur le monde contemporain. Le cours est offert en anglais et en fran\u00e7ais selon le programme de votre enfant. L'\u00e9ducation financi\u00e8re pr\u00e9pare les \u00e9l\u00e8ves \u00e0 g\u00e9rer leurs finances personnelles et les aide \u00e0 faire des choix \u00e9clair\u00e9s. Elle favorise un comportement responsable et le d\u00e9veloppement d'un jugement s\u00fbr. Les th\u00e8mes abord\u00e9s comprennent la consommation de biens et de services, l'entr\u00e9e sur le march\u00e9 du travail et la poursuite des \u00e9tudes.<\/p>\n
